Vista "upgraded" from XP thinks its on a domain???
We have a Vista PC we upgraded from windows XP that had a corporate image on it, however it seems to think its a member of a domain even though it isnt. There are a few side effects of this problem. It wont let us get windows updates, it just tellsus they have been restricted by the system administrator. (we are logged in as the "Administrator" account) Other things come up and tell us you must be logged in with domain admin rights. I tried setting the Workgroup again, I also changed the network ID and told it to be part of a "home" network. I also checked in "Local Policy" and windows updates etc are not restricted. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the PC back to non-domain mode without formatting the drive?
